Built under the instruction of the renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, this is a vast, confidently-designed hotel. It has 133 bedrooms, three pools, two restaurants, several shops and an array of tiered terraces overlooking a large playing area which leads down to the lagoon. The hotel is particularly proud (and justifiably so) of its sports complex and entertainment schemes, which offer a comprehensive range of games and activities.
